Nick Rabar:Chef2Go

Each episode of “Nick Rabar: Chef 2 Go” takes viewers on culinary expeditions throughout Southern New England to find hidden food and dining treasures. Then, it’s off to the kitchen with Chef Nick to create his own gastronomic magic using themes, ingredients or elements from his earlier adventures. Chef Rabar will visit three to four locations per show: restaurants or food related establishments which may not be on viewers’ radar, but are doing exemplary work.

Chef Nick Rabar began cooking at age 15 in local eateries in upstate New York where he was born and raised where he learned basic techniques and realized that food was his true passion. He attended The Culinary Institute of America, graduating in 1998. Nick held various Sous Chef positions including at the prestigious 111 Chophouse, a 250-seat New York style steakhouse in Massachusetts. Nick spent the last decade working with Rhode Island’s celebrated Chow Fun Food Group, most recently as Corporate Executive Chef. The year 2010 sees Chef Rabar spreading his wings again as he works toward opening his own restaurant, “Rabar’s Avenue N” in East Providence, Rhode Island.
