Cox Sports Covers Your Teams:
Providence College Athletics

Cox Sports is proud of its partnership with Providence College, just as PC is proud of its tradition of athletic success.

"Our strong partnership with Providence College emphasizes our commitment to the communities we serve. The production of exclusive content like PC athletics underscores our commitment to college sports fans across the state."

"Having an array of PC games air on Cox Sports provides us with great exposure and allows our fans from Woonsocket to Westerly see us in action," said Bob Driscoll, Director of Athletics, Providence College. "Our relationship with Cox Sports continues to be a boost to our programs."

Some of the most notable accomplishments over the years include a 1995 Women's Cross Country NCAA Championship; two Final Four appearances and an Elite Eight appearance by the men's basketball team; winning two HOCKEY EAST Championships, including a 1996 trophy, and advancing to the NCAA title game in 1985; several NCAA Tournament berths by the women's basketball team; and a number of BIG EAST and ECAC titles by several teams.

In recent years Cox Sports have televised both men's and women's basketball, hockey and soccer games, as well as women's softball, field hockey, volleyball and lacrosse games.

Cox Sports also features Inside Friartown, an "insider's look" at PC sports running September thru May, hosted Shawna Hassett and featuring interviews with Friar coaches, players and all the latest happenings at Providence College.
